Take James Hansen’s Declaration of Stewardship & pledge to support:

1. A moratorium on coal-fired power plants that do not capture and sequester carbon dioxide
2. A fair, gradually rising price on carbon emissions
3. Measures to improve energy efficiency, for example, rewarding utilities and others based on
energy and carbon efficiencies, rather than on the amount of energy sold
+ hold your legislators accountable to the same set of standards

STAY INFORMED:

Dr. Hansen periodically posts commentary on his recent papers and presentations and on other topics of interest to an e-mail list. Click here to be added to the distribution list.

GET INVOLVED:

Join people from around the world to speak out about climate change and do what you can to make a difference. James Hansen admires organizations like www.350.org where you can sign up and declare “I AM READY: for an ambitious, fair, and binding global climate deal. I call on world leaders to pass climate policies based on sound science and strong enough to get us back to 350.”
